What is a Life Coach?
A Life Coach will help you achieve the life you want to aspire to. You will be helped to identify any barriers which could get in the way. Consider your options for taking your ideas forward. To then set specific, achievable goals, which will allow you to move one step at a time, to your desired outcome.
As a professional Life Coach, Tim Langhorn will help you bridge the gap between where you are now, to where you would like to be in the future. Whether that future is a month away or a year away. Tim can help you work out what you have to do, what you need to do and how to manage any obstacle which may get in the way.
As your Life Coach Tim will be there to:
- Raise awareness of how you visualise the future you truly desire and deserve
- Help you recognise the person you really are, so you can use your strengths to best of your advantage and minimise or eliminate any potential obstacles along the way
- Assist you to create practical, step-by-step action plans to reach the goals to your success
- Provide you with on-going support through any changes, challenges or obstacle you may encounter
- Provide you with tools, techniques and strategies to create lasting change for the success you will achieve
One of Tim’s main roles as a Life Coach, is to help you to unlock your potential, maximise your performance and get the results you are aiming for. You will have time to reflect on your core values. Enabling you to take a path which aligns with the kind of life you truly believe in and sign up too.
A Life Coach is not a counsellor or a therapist, as they for the most part, look back to the past and deal with feelings. Tim in the role of Life Coach, is neither a mentor or consultant. The role of the Life Coach is help you focus on future possibilities, rather than past troubles or events. This is achieved by helping you focus fully on those aspects of your life and yourself, to assist you in exploring and achoieving your goals and ambitions.
Life coaching will help keep you on track. Take a step-by-step approach toward your main goal. And begin to build a solid pathway to the life you have only so far imagined. Initially you will identify the topic you wish to deal with. Such topics include:
- Personal performance
- Work/life balance
- Career path
- Personal relationships
- Finance
- Business opportunities
- Self development
- Future plans
- Life aspirations
Coaching enables you to identify your goal, remove any barriers which may impede any progress and create steps to achieve that goal.
Once you have established your topic, that main goal you are aiming for, you will thgen set smaller goals. These goals can be in the short, medium or long-term, depending on your needs. Tim will help you set goals between session, so that you understand what is you want to achieve from week to week.
The goals you set will be:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Realistic
- Time framed
Once Tim has helped you set clear realistic goals, you then consider the reality of your situation. Here you deal with specifics, such as who, what, when and where. At this stage Tim will help you will seek the answers to questions such as: What do I need to be doing in three months time in order to meet my goal? What needs to change now? etc.
As your Life Coach Tim will then support you to see the options available: You will start to decide on the steps you want to take toward your goals. Discover the benefits of these steps and do they take you closer to where you want to go? What other choices are there?
Tim will help you plan the way forward. What support do you need to get you there? When will you get the support? What can you do to remove any barriers that may block your way?
A typical question from a Life Coach will be:
On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you believe you will achieve this goal? On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you want it?
If the answers are below 8: What can you do or what is it you need, to make it a 10?
